Dates – The Four Day Fitness Festival for 2025 is August 27 to August 30.

The Saturday Hotter’N Hell Endurance Ride is always 9 days before Labor Day.

New this year

Last year we ditched USAC and the required license to race – it worked great so we will continue with no required USAC license for 2025 🙂

Gravel changes-

No more 100k ish course! We will still have the 27 ish mile Party Loop and the 42 ish mile Sasquatch which will count for all the Multi-Event Challenges. That said, the Gravel Course will close at midnight. More sleep!!

Based on what we’ve been hearing from our riders, we’ve made what we think are some very positive changes to the 2024 MTB races.

We will no longer be sanctioning the MTB race; however, we will still use USAC to insure you and the event. What this means for you as a cyclist is that there will no longer be any need for you to purchase any type of race license through USAC. We will still be a competitive race with all previous events and chip timing, and the format will remain the same. The other major change for 2024 is that there will be no USAC officials. Instead, our race director will fulfill that role. We will adopt USAC XC MTB rules to solve any discrepancies within and throughout the races. We just ask that you place yourself in your proper category. Pro Cat 1, Cat 2, Novice Beginner, Novice First Timers, Single Speed, E-Bike or Clydesdale.

The bottom line is that these changes will save you and us both money and time. At registration, you will still sign the USAC waiver, but you won’t purchase a license. The one downside to this change is that MTB race results will not be uploaded to USAC for national points.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We hope these changes will make everything easier for everyone in 2024 and moving forward.

All routes close at 1 AM, we will sweep the routes, but if you choose to stay out past 1 AM, you are ON YOUR OWN.

Awards for the Gravel events – everyone gets an awesome finisher patch.  You will get tickets for free beer (from WF Brewing Co) or soda and sandwich.

Please email David Coleman, the Grava del Fuego Race Director at [email protected] to request an exemption or ask any questions you may have. All gravel riders under 18 will also require a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian to ride any of three routes.

After all – it’s going to get dark and the hogs, coyotes, Chupacabra’s and Sasquatch will be out!
