Berends Landing

Berend’s Landing is a work in progress. The 5 acre facility was donated by Berend Brothers, an agricultural based company in the Wichita Falls area. The Landing is home to Midwestern State University Bicycle Racing Team, Team Arrow; Pet’s, a low cost spay and neuter clinic that has serviced over 3000 animals in the last two years, The Wee-Chi-Tah BMX track and Center of Gravity climbing gym. Development opportunities abound for the addition of restaurants, shops and other entertainment. In addition, the 114+ year old Grain Elevator, built in 1895 on the property will soon be restored to its original historic condition. The Landing borders the Burlington Railroad and the Wichita River. The River and the Railroad flank the facility and offer a unique atmosphere. The Landing is only a short walk to MPEC and the Bridwell Ag Cente

Future plans for the Landing include an outdoor music and theater venue using the grain silos as a back drop and reclaiming the steel Bridge Street (Ohio) Bridge which was built in 1886.
